Introduction of Dr. OZAWA
In 1991, Dr. Kazunori Ozawa of the Sony Corporation succeeded in mass-producing and commercializing the world's first lithium-ion battery. This technology, which outperforms conventional batteries by far, contributed greatly to the popularity of smartphones and portable personal computers.
Later, Dr. Ozawa established ENAX Corporation to produce large lithium-ion batteries. ENAX's laminated lithium-ion batteries have a high capacity and power output, as well as safety features, and are used in electric vehicles.
Since 2010, there has been a global need for high-performance lithium-ion batteries. In response, Dr. Ozawa established a new battery company that specializes in development and created a series of next-generation Ozawa batteries.
